I first read this in 1968 and most recently on the 2nd May 2012
A dramatic novel of future humanity and Martian adventure, says the back cover. And
indeed it was for to me, a small kid with little experience of Mars, Alpha Centauri or indeed of Earth.
In this super-slim volume of 125 pages Brunner packed a whole world and it seemed pretty darn
good to me at the time.
